Landscapes

Since the birth of my son, I have been collecting data that describe the challenges of parenthood in everyday life. These collections include, for example, breastfeeding and weight records for my midwife and my child's pediatrician, documented temperature measurements during the first year in daycare, and detailed work hours for the parental leave office. These prosaic facts serve as a basis for schematic black and white drawings that, in their abstraction, evoke landscapes. Thus, the temperature measurements become a winter landscape, and the fragmented work hours turn into a forest scene with a lake.
